  Bernier Knife and Fuse Cutter.JPG - BERNIER PATENT - Rare nickel-plated steel Bernier patent mechanical candlestick,the unique feature of this stick is that by lifting a brass spring latch the candle thimble and hook can be removed and the remaining portion of the stick functions as a blasting tool with knife fuse cutter, cap crimper and powder poke spike, candlestick is unmarked, patented by Amede Bernier of Victor, Colorado as patent No. 631,270 on August 22, 1899, ex-Jim Malouf collection (see Bobrink, Mining Artifact Collector #4, pg 17)
